Island peak is also known as Imja Tse is one of the most popular trekking and the climbing peak of Nepal situating alongside the Mt. Everest. While trekking at the lowland of this peak, we will be glorified by the panoramic view of the surrounding along with the soaring mountains covered by snow. The view of Mt. Nuptse (7879m), Lhotse (8501m), and the eye-catching scenario of the neighbor mountains ranges. Many trekkers and mountaineer mark this peak as the beginning peak in their journey to the high mountain climbing.
The trekking to the land will begin from the normal way to the Everest base camp which will commence from Kathmandu to Lukla with the scenic flight over the Himalayas. Then the trail will follow the way to Namche Bazaar and to the beautiful region of Tengboche, Pheriche, Lobuche, Dingboche, Chhukung and finally to the island peak. We will back the same way to Lukla and back to Kathmandu. While trekking and climbing in the high mountains we need to acclimatize ourselves during the journey which will enable us to continue our journey to achieve our dream. The climbing to Island peak with Himalayan view Nepal will be obviously fascinating.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Your flight will be landed at the international airport of Nepal. A representative of Anu Treks will be there to welcome you with the warm greetings and then we will be guided towards the hotel room of Kathmandu. The night will be at Kathmandu discussing the trekking along with the crew members.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding From Kathmandu, we will trek towards the beautiful pace of Lukla from the flight viewing the magnificent view of the high mountains. The flight goes for about 45 minutes which will be all entertaining and interesting. After landing at Lula, we will trek towards the Phakding. The route will follow the main trail of Everest base camp trekking route. The night will be at Phakding at the height of 2652m.
Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar After having the breakfast tat Phakding, we will trek towards the Monjo from where the Sagarmatha national park begins. We will walk through the route viewing different types of vegetation and animals at the Sagarmatha National Park. After crossing the suspension bridge, we will enter into Namche Bazaar. From here we can view the best view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Kusum Khangru and other several mountains. The night will be at one of the lodges at Namche Bazaar.
Day 04: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche From Namche Bazaar, we will trek towards the beautiful region of Tengboche. The trekking route follows the beautiful village of Kyanjuma and viewing the glorious view of the surrounding mountain, we will move further towards the Tengboche village. We will enjoy the night at Tengboche visiting the monasteries. The night will be at one of the lodges.
Day 05: Tengboche to Dingboche From Tengboche, we will trek first to the downriver for about 1 to 2 hours and then through the green forest, we will march towards the Pangboche. We will continue to walk viewing the great scenario of the Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse along with many more surrounding peaks. The night will be at Dingboche or Pheriche.
Day 06: Trek to Chhukung We will walk towards the east of Chhukung valley. The trail is rocky along with the combination of beautiful views of mountains and peaks. We will prepare for our trek at Chhukung to stay overnight at 4730m above sea level.
Day 07: Chhukung to Island peak base camp From Chhukung, we will move towards the base camp of Island peak. We will set up our camp at the base camp of the Island peak for the further journey. The trekking to this region from the Chhukung valley will take about 3 to 4 hours.
Day 08: Base camp to High camp After having the breakfast at the base camp, we will begin to walk through the trail to high camp of Island peak. The trail will go for about 2 to 3 hours through the icy path. We will need the help of better guides in some place while climbing to high camp from the base camp. The night will be at the high camp of the Island peak at the tented camp.
Day 09: high camp to summit and back to Chhukung Today is the main day of our trekking which should be started earlier in the morning. We will begin to climb with the Sherpa and helpers to the summit of the peak. We will be at the summit after the several hours hiking. The view from the summit will be glorious and enchanting. After the view, e will return back through the way to Chhukung.
Day 10: Chhukung to Khumjung After completing the long and exhausting journey to the summit, we will return back from Chhukung to Khumjung. The trail will follow the valley towards Pangboche then a short climb will take us to Tengboche through the forest of rhododendron and pine. Then the trail will further move towards Khumjung at the altitude of 3780m.
Day 11: Khumjung to Namche Bazaar After a short trek over the ridge, we will move towards the beautiful and busy settlement of Khumbu region i.e. Namche bazaar to the altitude of about 3440m above sea level. The trekking goes for about 4 to 5 hours through the main trekking trail along with other fellow trekkers of Everest region. The night will be at Namche Bazaar.
Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla From Namche Bazaar, we will trek towards the Lukla. The trail will offer us the panoramic scene of the mountains along with the beautiful villages of the region. The night will be at Lukla enjoying with the friends at the altitude of 2652m above sea level.
Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu From Lukla, we will take the flight over to Kathmandu. The flight goes for about 45 minutes offering us the spectacular view of the surrounding as well as the marvelous view of snow-capped mountains from the flight. We will land at the airport and will move towards the hotel. We will have our lunch and rest for a while. Then we can use or leisure time to visit the beautiful valley of Kathmandu.
Day 14: Farwell After completing our exhilarating trekking, we will do some shopping at the local market of Kathmandu. Then, we will arrange our Packages and will move towards the airport to catch the splendid flight over to our own destination. We will surely enjoy the farewell party organized by Anu Treks.
