Day 1: Lhasa Arrival from Nepal
Fly to Lhasa airport from Nepal, once you are in Lhasa airport your guide will greet and transfer you to the hotel. While driving to the hotel you may enjoy the view the Yarlung Tsangpo River/ Brahmaputra river (the longest and largest river in Tibet) and Lhasa River on their way to Lhasa. Rest of the day is free for acclimatization. Overnight stay at Lhasa Hotel
Day 2: Lhasa Tour-Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street
Your local guide will take you to sightsee and you will be visiting Potala Palace at first. Potala Palace is the highest ancient palace in the world, reaching 3,767.19m (12,359.55ft) and is situated in the hills of central Lhasa. As the Potala Palace is the winter palace of Dalai Lama which was put to use since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
After your Potala Palace visit, you will be taking to the Jokhang Temple Monastery which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve in order to promote the Buddhist religion. Covering 2.5ha in the centre of the old town of Lhasa, it comprises an entrance porch, courtyard and Buddhist hall surrounded by accommodation for monks and storehouses on all four sides. Outside, you can see pilgrims making prostrating in front of Jokhang Temple.
Now you will be visiting narrow lanes of Barkhor Bazaar.where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market. Barkhor Street is a very ancient round street surrounding the Jokhang Temple and the locals are always proud of it. As a symbol of Lhasa, it is also a must-see place for visitors. Whilst we can have local Tibetan Tea taste with locals accordingly following dinner arrangement.

Day 3: Lhasa Tour-Drepung and Sera Monastery
This day you will be exploring Drepung monastery which is one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang choge, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. You also can explore the biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.
In the afternoon, we will take you to Sera Monastery which located at the foot of Tatipu Hill in the northern suburb of Lhasa City and is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. Sera Monastery is one of three famous monasteries in the city along with the Drepung Monastery and the Ganden Monastery. It is dedicated to the Gelugpa or Yellow Hat Sect, a branch of Tibetan Buddhism, founded by Tsong Khapa. Also, visit Drepung which is the most important monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism. It is considered one of the ‘Three Great Monasteries’.The hot attraction is the Monks debate at around 3 – 5 in the afternoon. In addition, you can tour the Tibetan religious scripture printing house; inside the monastery, you can see three sand Mandalas and colourful Rock Painting of Buddha.

Day 4: Departure from Lhasa
After your breakfast in the morning, the guide/hotel staff will transfer you to the airport to board your flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival one of our representatives will transfer to hotel in Kathmandu.
