Description

Explore the breathtaking Khumbu region through our Everest View Short Trek, a condensed yet enriching experience designed to offer maximum benefits in a short duration. Witness the grandeur of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Tauche, Thamserku Kongde, and other majestic peaks.

Commencing and concluding in Lukla, the trek unfolds with the first day leading to Phakding, followed by Namche Bazaar on the second day. The third day is spent exploring the captivating surroundings of Namche Bazaar, with the fourth day retracing the path back to Lukla. This condensed itinerary ensures that every moment is packed with stunning views and cultural discoveries.

As you traverse through the landscape, you’ll be enchanted by the breathtaking vistas of the Himalayan peaks. The trek provides ample opportunities to observe the Sherpa people, their rich culture, and the diverse flora and fauna of the region. Walk through rhododendron forests and lush greenery, where encounters with Himalayan Thar, Musk deer, Pheasants, and other wildlife are common.

Day 01: Kathmandu

Namaste and Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal. Arrive at Kathmandu airport anytime. Meet your representative from Anu Treks and have a detailed meeting for your trip, please ask the receptionist where the meeting is held if you are unsure. If you have spare time, explore busy Kathmandu. Kathmandu is a capital city of Nepal which holds an ancient and historical architecture and symbols of the 20th century blending with traditional Culture.

Day 02: Kathmandu To Phakding (2652 M)

Flight: Kathmandu to Lukla — 45 minute

Walking: Lukla to Phakding: 3 to 4 hours—6 to 7 km

Early morning you will head to the domestic airport to fly Lukla. This 45 min short flight will make your morning memorable with spectacular view or mountains if the weather is clear, and an amazing landing at Lukla (2840 m). You will meet your local experts’ guides and assistance at Lukla then head north to Chablung (2700 m) where we cross Tharo Kosi river on a suspension bridge. Beyond the suspension bridge enjoy watching the peak of Kusum Kangru (6369 m) and is one the most difficult trekking peaks in Everest region of Nepal. Kick-off your trek with an easy walk through Chaurikharka village and descent towards Dudhkoshi Ghat (2,530m/8,300ft). The trail follows the bank of the Dudhkoshi River until Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft). We will stay a night in Phakding.

Day 03: Phakding To Namche Bazaar (3440 M)

Walking Hours: 6 to 7 hours—9 km

Today we will follow the valley of the Dudh Kosi river, staying on the west bank of the river. then climb steeply over a rocky ridge toward Benkar (2710m). Continue the trail alongside the river. All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia, and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the trek make it a beautiful walk. We cross the Kyashar Khola river and climb out of the valley to Monjo (2840m). Just beyond Monjo, the trek enters the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park, which was established in 1976 to protect an 1148 sq km area surrounding Mt Everest. Beyond the national park entrance station, the trail makes a steep rocky descent and crosses the Dhud Kosi river on a 120m-long suspension bridge towards Jorsale (2805 m). After crossing this river a few times while climbing our way up the valley we will reach Namche Bazaar (3440m).

Day 04: Namche Bazaar (3440 M)

You will spend one more night in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize the altitude properly and is the best way to keep strenuous walking up the high and back down. Namche Bazaar is a historic trading post where Nepalese and Tibetan trade exchange salt, dried meat and textiles. This day you will walk to Syngboche airport (3700m), then continue hiking Everest view hotel for a great panoramic view of the Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Twache and Khumjung village. On the way back explore Sherpa culture Museum, lifestyle, and their traditions. 

 After enjoying the view we continue to the traditional Sherpa villages of Khunde and Khumjung. If you get a chance ask your guide to take you to the Khumjung Monastery which houses the scalp of what’s said to be a Yeti. Leaving the villages we circle back to Namche via the small airstrip at Shyangboche.

Day 05: Namche To Phakding Then Lukla 

Namche: 3440 m,  Phakding: 2652 m, Lukla: 2840 m

Walking: 6 to 7 hours—15 km 

Today you will be walking 6 to hours from Namche to Phakding then to finally Lukla which is approximately 15 to 16 km. After breakfast, we trek toward the Hillary Suspension Bridge and then pass through several local villages. This is your last night on the mountain, which can be bittersweet.

Day 06: Lukla To Kathmandu (1350 M)

Flight Lukla to Kathmandu—45 minute

If the weather is happy, we will take the short 45-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Once again glance through the aircraft window and enjoy the amazing view. Once landing at Kathmandu, return to your accommodation, relax and the rest of the is your own to enjoy. This day after your refreshment you can have a Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square)

Day 07: Kathmandu

Today is your departure day, according to your next plan schedule, you can departure at any time. Day 01: Kathmandu
